Town Hall Meeting: North Park
At the close of
the VO Member's Day (4:00 PM)
Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato and members of his
staff will be on hand to share an informal presentation about
the Allegheny County Parks (specifically North Park and pending
North Park Lake dredging) followed by an informal Q&A.
Dinner Buffet (provided by

Join us for an exploration of this beautiful park that is filled
with some of the best views of downtown Pittsburgh. Stick around
after the hike for "An Evening on Grandviews Home Tour and

Join us on a 3-mile hike around the historic sites of Homestead,
visiting the riverfront area formerly occupied by U.S. Steel's
Homestead Works, featuring the Carrie Furnace and Pump House,
and the site of the famous 1892 Battle of Homestead Strike.
We'll wrap up the day with a warm home-cooked meal at one of the
oldest and most active ethnic organizations in Western

Annual WYEP Summer Music Festival is going on this Saturday,
June 23, 2007 on the
North
Shore.
WYEP

Shared Lane markings on Liberty Avenue
Bike Pittsburgh's hard work in advocating bike safety in our
city is taking off in even more developments as the Department
of Public Works painted new bike lane and "shared lane" markings
on Bloomfield and Lawrenceville this past week.
The Mayor led a celebratory ride on the freshly painted pavement
this past Monday.

Weekly Walks in the Woods
Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy presents free, docent-led walks
through the four regional parks June through August. Walks run
