The Summer Schedule is Here!

The Summer AT is here!

The Summer Adventure Times will be released this week!  Inside its pages you will find some of our summer standbys - TriAnglers, Happy Hour Paddles, and rock climbing - as well as a few brand new trips, such as a Summer Pie Hike Series and our expanded Trail Town bike series.  Check out the new AT online to view over 220 programs taking place throughout the region as well as updates and tips from the Venture Outdoors community!

Keep an eye on the website to register early for our summer programs.

Family Fun with Art and Nature: The Watery World of Watercolor
Start out with a short guided hike through Schenley Park to discover intriguing textures, colors and patterns from nature. Next, walk over to Carnegie Museum of Art for a guided gallery tour and studio art-making activity. Kids take home their creations! Family prices available.

Long Distance Hike
Spend a day on the trail with Kenn Howard and Nanci Goldberg as you explore some of Western PA's longer trails. The Long Distance Hikes will be at least 10 miles each, and some will be a lot longer. These hikes are designed for advanced hikers who have lots of stamina. If you are looking for a great workout and want to cover a lot of terrain in a day, then these are the perfect treks for you.

REI will take the mystery out of Backpacking as we share our knowledge in this show and tell session. They will cover backpacking essentials: choosing an internal or external-frame pack; selecting proper clothing, the right footwear; and understanding the basic gear you need to reach your destination.
