Lawrenceville Art and Coffee Hike
Strap on your walking shoes, grab your cameras, and let’s take a hike through the colorful, celebrated neighborhood of Lawrenceville!
Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville area is filled with rich history as well as an enormous amount of growth. This formerly quiet section of the city on the south banks of the Allegheny River has transformed to an exciting, dynamic, and eclectic go-to destination. Its streets are lined with wonderful spots for dining, shopping, and culture. We will explore parts of Central and Upper Lawrenceville in a moderate-paced tour of some of the area’s most incredible public art. We will see statuary, metal art, and murals, featuring the work of renown Pittsburgh artist Jeremy Raymer. At the end of the journey, there will be an optional stop at a coffee shop, where you can choose your favorite bean or leaf. The cost of drinks and food is not covered in the outing fee, so participants are free to choose what best fits their desires at the end of this great hike.
We will be moving at a moderate but steady pace on sidewalks and streets. There will also be minimal inclines. Expect about 90 minutes of active time covering about 2 1/2 miles. Sturdy and supportive walking shoes are essential, and water for hydration is recommended.
If cost is a barrier to your participation, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
