People of every size, shape, and weight deserve the chance to experience the amazing benefits of time spent outdoors with others. Venture Outdoors welcomes active folks in larger bodies to get outside this year through its series of size-friendly outings, at a pace that is safe and comfortable for each person. Each trip listing will give you the information you need to decide if the outing is right for you: active time and pace, general route and terrain, and if any experience is needed. You can look forward to a variety of monthly activities throughout the year, all in a positive and welcoming atmosphere in which we will celebrate all shapes and sizes. North Shore Art & Brewery Ride

In April, we rode the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and concentrated on the journey. This time, we are going to stop and see the scenery. This vibrant area, while known for its sports stadiums and casino, is rich with diverse public art. We will cycle the Three Rivers Heritage Trail, highlighting some significant artwork and local history.

The outing starts and stops at the Roundabout Pop-Up Beer Garden, and participants are welcome to join us after the ride for a drink in this unique outdoor space along the Ohio River. Check the Roundabout website for the current Food Truck information. The cost of drinks and food is not covered in the outing fee, so participants are free to choose what best fits their desires at the end of this great ride.

This relaxed, no-drop ride will be on paved surfaces for about 10 miles at an approximate 8-10-mile per hour pace.  There will be some short, moderate hills, which we will always take at a slow steady pace. As a no-drop ride, we will always wait for participants to regroup at the top.  Biking experience is required for this outing, as are bike helmets, appropriate footwear, and water to stay hydrated.
