Goat Fest Hike – South Side Park

July 29 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Goat Fest Hike

Join Friends of the South Side Park for a moderately paced 2.5 mile hike and learn about the fascinating history of the 65 acre Park bordering the South Side Flats, Slopes and Arlington neighborhoods. We will learn about the old St. Clair Incline that burned down in 1935, the former ice rink and the former Sankey Brick Factory among many other historical uses of the park. We will talk about the important restoration work that is taking place with the help of goats and learn about future improvements to the park.

This hike will wrap-up just in time for the start of Goat Fest with lots of activities including live music, a petting zoo, food trucks, goats in action and more!

Starting Location: Near 21st and Josephine St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203. We’ll meet directly under the Mission street bridge.
