The Venture Outdoors Essentials
  • Signed Assumption of Risk Form (one for each participant)
  • Water (in a hydration bladder or water bottle)
  • Rain gear (jacket, pants, umbrella)
  • Non-cotton layers (hiking pants, shirts, socks and jacket, extra clothes, NO jeans)
  • Cold weather gear (hat, gloves, layers, jacket)
  • Hiking boots (already broken in) or walking/running shoes
  • Snacks/energy bars
  • Flashlight/headlamp (for evening trips)
Nice to Have
  • Extra pair of socks
  • Sunscreen
  • Lip balm
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat with a brim (to keep the sun, rain or water from your eyes)
