Lewis and Clark History Hike

April 2, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

$16.00 – $20.00

Lewis and Clark History Hike

In May of 2019, Pittsburgh became the official beginning of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail as recognized by the National Park Service. This new designation was the result of a five year study that looked at multiple sites east of the Mississippi River that were in contention to become the new trailhead.

Join veteran re-enactor and community activist, John McNulty, as we learn about the many connections Pittsburgh has to the famous expedition and how the city can benefit from its new status. We will hike through some of Pittsburgh’s most diverse and rugged terrain, using Mt. Washington’s Emerald View Park as our green and picturesque backdrop. Please be prepared to cover about 5 miles with some significant climbs.
