Summer Camp: Cycling through Summer

August 14 @ 9:00 am - August 18 @ 4:00 pm

Summer Camp: Cycling through Summer

Grades 6th – 8th

Day Camp Monday-Friday | Aug 14 – 18 | 9am – 4pm | South Park

Explore South Park on two-wheels! In Cycling through Summer, participants will ride the bike trails through the park, while also learning the basics of bike care and maintenance, biking etiquette, and bike mechanics. Additional activities may include stream explorations, geocaching, science experiments, and team-building games.

Over the course of the week, campers will bike for a minimum of 5 miles on park trails. Campers should have a basic competency with biking before attending camp. Campers are allowed to bring and store their own bikes at Camp for the week, but we will also have bikes and helmets if they prefer. All campers are expected to participate in all activities.

Venture Outdoors Summer Camps

Venture Outdoors hosts Summer Camps all Summer long at North Park, South Park, and Millvale. See the full list of enriching Summer Camps HERE.

Campers are expected to follow behavior guidelines to ensure a welcoming and fun environment for all campers. Upon registration we’ll reach out to you via email with a packet of information and followup questions about your camper.

Financial assistance may be available. Please fill out this form and we’ll contact you if financial assistance is available for your child. Completion of this form does not automatically enroll your camper in summer camp, nor does it guarantee that we will be able to offer financial assistance at any point.
