Tri-Anglers – Free Lunch Time Fishing
Join us each Wednesday in the summer months for this downtown Pittsburgh fishing tradition that has been running for over 20 years! We’ll provide the rods, bait, and instruction on this relaxed lunch time fishing trip. Stop by anytime between 11:30am – 1:30pm. We catch all sorts of fish along the Allegheny River – bass, carp, catfish, and more! No prior fishing experience needed and great activity for all ages.
Never fished before? No problem! Our staff will be able to teach you the basics of fishing from casting, baiting your hook, and hopefully reeling in your first catch!
Seasoned angler? You are always welcome! If you prefer to use some of your favorite personal gear, we can supply you with anything else you could need.
We have adaptive fishing gear that can be used upon request, including rod holders for chairs/wheelchairs and wrist supports. Please e-mail Amanda at AWesterlund@ventureoutdoors.org to reserve adaptive gear.
Want to bring a group to Tri-Anglers? Group sizes of 8 or more will need to reserve a spot at least 3 weeks in advance. Contact Amanda at AWesterlund@ventureoutdoors.org for more information on bringing your group to visit us at Tri-Anglers!
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT FISHING LICENSES
This week we WILL have a Fishing Skills Instructor on site during the program, so licenses will not be needed for participants 16+ years old!
This project is supported by the R3 Education Grant Program, administered by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, through a grant awarded by the R.K. Mellon Foundation.
