Walking the Healing Path
July 7 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
An event every 2 weeks that begins at 9:00 am on Wednesday, repeating until October 20, 2021
The 10.27 Healing Partnership, an affiliate of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, is offering a joint program with Venture Outdoors, called Walking Through Pain: A Support Group in Motion.
The intention of this program will be to offer a therapeutic and educational space for those directly and indirectly affected by the 2018 synagogue shooting, as well as the greater Pittsburgh community, to come together for a guided walk that will build connections and foster healing and well-being. The goals of this program will be for participants to work on their own healing, to connect with others, to feel less alone in their pain and to learn about our surroundings. We will provide instructions and support on how to create a space for mutual healing with new friends and peers, and all walks will also be joined by a therapist with trauma training.
