Calling all budding naturalists - come explore the natural wonders of Frick Park! We will be looking for insects, plants, rocks, and any other natural wonder on this easy stroll through the fields and forests around the Frick Nature Center.

This walk is designed for the youngest naturalists in mind - ages 0-6 and their caregivers, but older siblings are invited to join. The trails we take will be stroller friendly. This will be an all-weather event so please be sure to be dressed to be outside the entire time. There is a public restroom at the beginning of the hike.

The walk will end by 11:30 and all attendees are welcome to bring their own picnic blankets and snacks to have a socially spaced snack-time on the lawn near the Frick Environmental Center.

Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy naturalist-educator Amber Stacey will be joining us and will be demonstrating the Parks Conservancy’s exploration backpacks, which will be available for rental following the program.

Please review our safety protocols before attending: COVID-19 Policies and Procedures.
