Venture Outdoors volunteers help educate, equip, and inspire people to get outdoors. Our volunteers help on every level of the organization. There are opportunities to lead hikes, kayak trips, river clean ups, plan events, or just help us stuff envelopes when we need it most.

We’re Seeking Trip Leaders
Venture Outdoors, Western Pennsylvania’s leading outdoor recreation and education organization, seeks volunteers to lead outdoor trips such as hiking, biking, kayaking, etc. as part of our Community Programming.
These special volunteers are called Trip Leaders.
Trip leaders are asked to:
- Lead fun outings 1 to 3 times per month, based on their availability and skills
- Maintain state clearances and safety certifications
- Participate in Outdoor Leadership training once every 3 years
- Love outdoor experiences
We are asking for a one-year commitment.
