“Venture Outdoors removes barriers to outdoor experiences.”

“Do you have to be a member to participate?”

“Not at all, but it helps so much to be one.” Let me explain.

Membership helps

Last year Venture Outdoors removed barriers for 14,774 people around the Pittsburgh region. These folks ranged in age from 3 to 97 years and a wide array of demographics and places. Everyone gained access in some way to the benefits of the outdoors.

All that inspiration, education, and equipping takes, dare I say, oodles of support:

- Equipment.
- Lots and lots of kayaks.
- Outdoor education staff.
- Expert volunteer trip leaders.
- Community members to spread the word, provide support, and venture outdoors with us.

Our famous outdoor community outings are open to anyone who wants to venture outdoors with us, and they are made possible in no small part by our members.
