Here’s where you can rent kayaks in Pittsburgh this season!

It’s finally here!! KAYAK SEASON! Each year, we eagerly await Memorial Day weekend; the official opening of Kayak Pittsburgh’s season. And this year, we’ve got much to celebrate locally as we welcome another paddling company to the three rivers: 3ROC’s River Outpost in Aspinwall!

When Kayak Pittsburgh started in 2004, we were the only outfitters on the rivers getting yinz in the water and introduced to paddle sport. Today, our region is home to multiple paddle sport rental services, and we hope you take some time this summer to visit them all. Here’s a list of just a few to get you started…

Kayak Pittsburgh – North Park

Kayak Pittsburgh…Of course! We open this Saturday (May 28) at both our North Park and NEW Sharpsburg locations. Check us out for reservations. Rent kayaks, SUPs, canoes, pedalboats, and new this year… a catamaran! Rent on your own or join a guided paddle.

Kayak Pittsburgh – Sharpsburg

This NEW location at James Sharp Landing rents tandem and solo kayaks to explore further up the Allegheny River. Rent on your own or join a guided paddle.

L.L. Bean North Park – North Park

Head over to the other side of North Park lake to check out our friends with L.L. Bean.

10.7 Marina – Verona

10.7 Marina has been open for a few years now up the Allegheny and offers kayak, SUP, and canoe experiences.

3 ROC Outpost – Aspinwall

Smack dab in the middle of Allegheny River in Aspinwall are our friends with 3 Rivers Outdoors Company are opening their Outpost! Rent kayaks and hammocks the relax or explore Allegheny River.

Surfs Up Adventures – Oakmont

Rent a SUP for a half day or longer with our friends at SurfSUP Adventures in Oakmont. They’ll even have some car straps for you to take the adventure where you choose. Their guides will take you on an eco tour, whitewater SUP, and more.

Crescent Bay Marine – Moraine State Park

Looking for a bit of a scenery change? Head up north to Moraine State Park for a day paddle in Lake Arthur. Crescent Bay also rent pontoons, canoes, and tillers.
